These American twins are a walking miracle! Born with life threatening allergies and told they wouldn't live past the age of two, God had other ideas and their healing was so powerful, the doctor treating them became a Christian as a result! These days, Brian and Shawn's ministry is a mixture of popular entertainment and variety style performances and music plays a large part of that. 'Playing With Life And Death' is a good introduction to their talents though one suspects that if they'd signed to a label, they wouldn't have been allowed to create such an eclectic album. The wild west style cover suggests that the contents would be roots or Americana so it was a bit of a shock to have an out and out synth driven pop tune kick everything off. Those rootsy vibes do come out on songs like "Spare A Prayer", "God Thing" and "The Richest Man On Earth". From the moving "The Walls Of 9-11" to the pointed fun of "Barbies, Badguys & Guns", The Chrisagis Brothers create music which wants to minister to the listener through thought provoking observations, great harmonies and memorable songs.
