First the history lesson. The Grace Thrillers are a veteran group from Jamaica who for many a long year have flown a flag for JA gospel music even undertaking several unpublicised visits to the UK. Somewhere in the Cummings' archive I have an old vinyl offering 'Jesus You've Been Good To Me' which was dominated by seriously out-of-tune guitars. I'm pleased to report that on this 1994 offering they've overcome tuning problems but by the drastic remedy of largely dropping guitars altogether. In fact, the backings are largely provided by producer Ashley Cooper's computer and his competent but lumpen programming probably explains the lack of fire in the proceedings. Overall, the sounds and tempos are staid easy listening. There are occasional sparks, the calypso-based "Amen" and the ska-tinged "Tell Me The Story" but even here the programming and obvious girl harmonies keep the atmosphere luke warm. Anyone looking for pioneering reggae gospel will have to look elsewhere.

The Grace Thrillers are a legendary group that blesses my soul. Indeed they are not singing only because they have angelic voices, but they sing from the heart to the ear of God. They are lovely...I hope and pray that they would get back together with the original group. I have met a few of them personal: Shirley, Oh my gosh! she is for keeps...her voice is melodeous. I would like to get a few of their older songs on CDs.

Does anyone know the words to this song and where i cna find it. It goes something like this:

Somehow his love will never let me go
Somehow he loves me better than i know
Somehow, some day when life is o'er
I'll dwell with him forevermore

Bishop Dunn from England (Apostolic) use to sing it almost every time he got up to preach

Hi. I would like the lyrics to the song nd if possible find out how I can get the track to sing along to for a solo on solo night at my church. The song starts "God I love you, God I need you" the last part of each verse ends "so will you find a way, just to stay right, stay right close to me" and the chorus is " For my Jesus i love you, my dear Jesus...I need you. Will you find a way, just to stay..etc:"

I heard this song for the first time last evening at church services. I was overwhelmed by the lyrics and deep meaning of each word. The lady played the guitar and sang very solemnly. It has immediatly become one of my favorites and I have been listening to southern, coun try and bluegrass gospel most of my 80 years.
