Featured singing the title track at Harrogate railway station as part of BBC's Songs Of Praise, train conductor Paul Mirfin and his acoustic folk group offer us seven quality tracks on this mini-album. "In This Now", with banjo-backed vocals and Sam John's trumpet solo, is a lively second track that declares "Trees Will Sing' (reflected in Natalie Freeman's CD cover artwork); "Bring The Rain" features a harmonica solo mid track; while Daniel Jackman's violin playing and Paul Mirfin's acoustic guitar work combine effectively on most tracks. The standout song here is "Trust In The Silence". Beginning with a guitar-backed solo, it moves up a gear as backing vocals kick in powerfully with the chorus, "It's grace that saved me/It's hope that guides me/It's love that finished it off." A refreshing introduction to some skilled exponents of the currently popular folk genre.
