For many years the Statler Brothers were a major force in country music who finally called it a day in March 2002. This rather strange album is a souvenir from a farewell concert but only gives us 12 tracks when many Gaither Homecoming releases often give us very much more generous value. There are a lot of emotional farewell speeches and encores which could be a little hard to listen to repeatedly while the songs here with very little audience background hardly do justice to a famous country act who have won so many top accolades and recorded so many top hits. The opener "Do You Remember These" then leads us into a bevy of their hits "Do You Know You Are My Sunshine", "Class Of 57", "Bed Of Roses", etc with my favourite "I'll Go To My Grave Loving You". The album closes with a couple of gospel classics; Stuart Hamblen's "This Ole House" and "Amazing Grace". All in all, a fragmentary offering that fails to do justice to a classic male quartet.
