Having already established themselves as a band of prolific musicians and songwriters, it seems a shame that no musical perimeters have been challenged with the release of 'Unfazed'; the band's first original set of songs since their phenomenal self-titled album back in '96. Though finely crafted and executed art, not even the laid back grooves of "I Need You", or the unfazed swagger of the title cut, is enough to lift this set of good compositions a cut above the rest of the 'alternative' music scene. Lyrically compelling, there is enough material here to challenge, inspire and encourage the listener. As one has come to expect from the band, the album is both well arranged and produced; though much of the material contained herein suffers from a repetitive nature. Overall a goodish album, but from this team I expected more.
