A Christmas album which came too late to make it into the Dec/Jan issue of the mag, this album is packed full of good intentions. These are songs that tell the glorious wonder of Christmas, happy family church style vocals complete with kids joining in and a bit of narration linking it all together. Tim can clearly write decent songs that communicate Christmas and I bet these go down well in the context of live performance in churches at Christmas but the limitations of the vocals, arrangements and recording mean that the overall feel when recorded is a little bit cheesy. Mind you, Christmas albums are hard to make without a certain amount of fermented milk product creeping in. A good souvenir for those involved but this recording does not stand up on its own.
