It's nice to see another re release coming through M8. This is another fine rock album and unlike the great ship, it s getting the chance to be raised from the depths. 90s hardcore metal from a quartet who are led by guitarist Bill Menchen who pens the songs and contributes plenty of loud guitar. He s matched all the way by a solid rhythm section and the dominant vocals of Simon Tyler. There s plenty here to enjoy, whether it s the punchy Fight Back or metal posturing of Gods Of War. Lyrically there s loads to say and the songs aren't afraid of getting in your face. I Don t Believe simply lists a pile of things the band don t believe including Hollywood, throwing stones, fairy tales, the KKK and Santa Claus! Another highlight is the clever I Am Watching You which sees the Devil keeping an eye on us and trying to trip us up. Listening to this, you just get the feeling that this is so heavy that in a collision with an iceberg, it s got to be the berg that would bite the dust!
