The cover proudly proclaims "Made In Scotland" but I knew this already because just one glance at Tommy Scott on the cover in his kilt and finery rather gives it away! Actually, Tommy is the spitting image of the old radio one DJ DLT!! Ifs true! Separated at birth? As for the music, this sounds like BBC light entertainment from the '60s - a mixture of inspirational songs and favourite hymns delivered in various light pop styles. Tommy is a singing anachronism crooning "What A Wonderful World", "I Believe" and "All Things Bright And Beautiful" like the 70s, '80s and '90s never happened. The phrase "middle of the road" was invented for albums like this. For over 50s only!

In my younger years I worked for a well known shop selling Scotland at it’s worst – clad in tartan, teddy bears and green fluffy Loch Ness monsters. Thankfully I qualified in my chosen career and left that pseudo tartan world forever. The music section was devoted to the likes of Tommy Scott and his cringingly embarrassing arrangements of well-loved Scottish songs. Many visitors from the USA and further afield went home thinking that this music was representative of Scotland. It’s time the serious and professional Scottish music makers were given prominence.

Although your entry for Tommy Scott has been discontinued I am just amazed that you cannot appreciate good music and a good singer, especially a singer that always sings in tune. Tommy is primarily a record producer and song writer but he definitely has a better voice than the rubbish that you hear today.
