Released in the wake of Guardian's demise. 'Epic..' is something of an eye-opener; saluting the past while simultaneously laying down the foundations of the future. Eight years in the making, Tony's debut solo instrumental album adequately celebrates a broad yet focussed musical reference; from hard rock to metal and jazz to blues. Co-produced by Curtis Grover, each piece has been carefully mixed, arranged and executed resulting in a collection of fine art worthy of appreciation. Not only has Tony played a fair selection of guitars, but he has also dabbled in some bass work on certain cuts. Coupled with Tony's humourous and informative sleeve notes, there is enough material herein to satisfy both Guardian fans and guitar buffs alike.
