There have been plenty of fine songs written on this theme or with this title, but teenager Tori's "Revival" anthem is surely one of the best. Over a stirring mid-tempo rhythm and a wall of guitars Tori purrs the lyrics by London Gingerich convincingly. Rather than the usual "send revival to our land and churches" themes this "Revival" song personalises the whole thing: "I wanna be brave/I wanna be bold/I wanna be proof/I wanna be love/I wanna be hope/I wanna be true. . ./I wanna be a - a revival." Stirring indeed.
