The singer, songwriter, worship-leader and occasional Christian goth artist returns with this digital single, available from all digital stores. Ethereal in sound, and clearly very Jewish/Messianic in feel, it is loosely based on the book of Numbers from the Old Testament. It can best be described as a meditation/blessing that would fit at the end of any worship-session. Acoustic and electric guitars played by Trace bring her evocative voice into focus as she imparts the blessing first in Hebrew and then in English. Her multi-tracked vocals are woven into a multi-layered sound with some fine mandolin and percussion from Jonathan Anderson and support from Sony Award-winning Shaun Lowe. The only thing that irks on the track is the introduction of some modern Christian jargon where we are advised that God "wants to love on you". Surely God wants to just love you?

Hi John,
Apparently, from the research I've done, part the Hebrew translation of Numbers 6:24-26 actually says how God (Yahweh) wants to "search you out to love on you". I actually think this is an even deeper way of communicating to love someone. To me, "to love on you" means to pour Himself upon you...to give with such generosity; to lavish; to make it so clear that His ear is bent down to listen, always attentive, always approachable, always kind and loving.
