Slice of Swedish rock for you though the artist credit is somewhat confusing. I presume Vincent is the band who has (temporarily or permanently) been joined by Per Hoglund. (Mr Hoglund being the brother of the immensely talented Charlotte you will have read about back in CR1.) Be that as it may, the music here is high on sinewy protein, tight rock flecked generously with traces of blues and soul influences. Per handles harmonica chores to good effect, the four backing musicians indulge in hefty Swede-bashing with stylish technique. The songs are mostly written by Hoglund and drummer Robert Ivansson. The best tracks are those like "Rising Seas", which offer a cool, bluesy Q Stone/Robert Cray type of treat. Other tracks, veering more towards pop territory, fail to be quite as gripping. In general, a friendly, enjoyable album.

I must say that this is one of my all time favorite albums. I wish there were more out there that had a style like this one. Alas, I know that some of the greatest music I have ever heard will never be replicated. I have to give props to the song "when Summer Came Rollin' In" as quite possibly one of the best songs ever. Also, "Your Love Never Died" helped me through the death of a very close friend.

I send my love out to the band. You have touched my life.
