There are many American Christian rock bands around now these days, but to get signed by Tooth and Nail shows that Write This Down have something special. With catchy riffs and an upbeat atmosphere this debut album produces memorable songs with many fist-pumping, singalong choruses such as the exhilarating "We Shot The Moon". Yet Write This Down' also have a quieter side, displayed on the thought-provoking acoustic track that closes the album, "Heaven And Hell", and the beautifully written, almost soothing "Ctiadel". Elsewhere, this three-piece from Minnesota make music that induces lead vocalist Johnny Collier to produce screams reminiscent of bands like Underoath. Thus, stylistic diversity rules and the band are impossible to pigeonhole. One moment they are playing quiet acoustic tracks, the next it's screams and metal riffs. Write This Down still have a long way to go to make it to the top, but there's enough here to make me look forward to album number two.
