Even in the days before London-born singer Yazz became a Christian, she exuded positivity as evidenced in her massive 1988 Plastic Population hit "The Only Way Is Up" and her latest release is certainly no exception. In the likes of self-penned tracks such as the tender "Portrait" and the slick jazz pop of "Summer Rain", Yazz seizes every opportunity to testify about the difference God can make to a life whilst her still incredible voice will stir fond memories for yesteryear's clubbers and chart-followers. With a top notch band in tow, songs such as "Lifted" and the atmospheric closer "Heavenation" reference Scripture to great effect whilst further showcasing Yazz's vocal versatility and aptitude as a communicator of the Gospel. Elsewhere, Yazz has chosen to reference her family's Jamaican roots in the Bob Marley classic "Redemption Song" whilst simply breathtaking cover versions of Curtis Mayfield's perennial "People Get Ready" and the Fleetwood Mac/Eva Cassidy stalwart "Songbird" make for rounded piece of work that proves that, once again, the only way is up for this talented woman of God.

Product Description
Yazz returns with the follow up to her successful Christian debut, Running Back To You.

An infectious fusion of soul, jazz, Gospel and RnB, This Is Love picks up where Running Back To You left off, exploring themes of faith and hope from one who has seen so much.

As with Running Back To You, Yazz's distinctive voice takes centre stage, managing to convey warmth with power and vulnerability in a mix that's impossible not to be uplifted by.

Awesome album...she is getting better and better and I love that she remains a risk taker! The track Portrait reminds me of the great Jazz Artist Micheal Franks. Highly recommend this album to all people saved or not.
Thanks and God Bless the ministry,
Dianna Rae
