One thing I can say, how can u not forgive Micheal, when God forgive u. We that are spiritual have to be the one to bring them back. We are not suppose beat people up with word. We are not suppose to judge we suppose to pray. Get your mouth off people failures and pray. Its praying time.

Michael, having someone very very close to me doing the things you did and learning God forgives again and again, I understand what you went thru. They were not easy. I have always been your fan. Your voice is a God given talent and I could listen for hours on end. Great to see you back and I can feel the love of God in your songs more than before.

I still listen to Michael's music now and then; he was a nice welcomed addition to ccm in 1991 with his debut cd. No one has interpreted "Mary Did You Know" like Michael. Michael's 2nd follow up cd with the song "SAVIOUR" and others did not disappoint listeners. I wrote to Michael after his 1994 downfall, I even got a nice heartfelt reply which kind of suprised me: I prayed for him as well. However, this article should have focused solely on what GOD has done and is doing. I believe a lot of the negative could've been left out;most know what happened. A different approach for this write up should've been taken to give the reader a good perspective. I indeed compliment the writer for a indepth look at Michael's life; but on the other hand this article has open holes. Michael, since his first divorce is remarried; is this overlooked? When a person gets right with GOD, THEY GET RIGHT WITH GOD! Do we only follow the parts of the Bible that we want to , or feel like following? GOD's word was written and given to us for a purpose and reason, EVERY WORD! "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear GOD, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."(Eccl. 12:13)

This reply is for Kim Smith of Alabama, just kind'a curious as to what makes you think that you are entitled to know the details. That is the way of the world, they totally thrive on gossip.
People always want to be "in the know".
It would be nice if Michael provided for himself here whatever info he cared to share first hand, second hand news is not always accurate.
I disagree with feeding into the public and giving reporters a story just to satisfy a public need.

I loved this article and disagree with you on the negative being to much because I knew nothing in details about Michael and he absolutely gave God the Glory! We ALL fall, some more than others and I Thank and Praise God for his mercy that says in Lamentation "it's NEW EVERY MORNING "! THAT'S WHAT Michael SAID......A GOD OF SECOND AND THIRD CHANCE!!

I was just at the David Jeremiah Conference in Tenn this week. I was so thrilled to hear and see Michael with the Gather Vocal Band. He is a friend of my grandson Wes Walker and I have had the blessing of meeting and talking with him. I am so glad he is back on track. Please give him my love and prayers. God is so good!!!

My daughter got me the DVD's that were made of Reunited and Better Days. The best music I've heard in many years. When Michael sings "I'm Forgiven", I get chills. Knowing Michael's history, I too serve that same God of forgiveness and second chances. I am much older than he but I had some issues to be forgiven by God. I was in music for many years. I was pianist for a Baptist Church for more than 28 years. It is easy to let other things distract us from God's will. But I thank God for His forgiving Michael and for me. I will continue to pray for you.
Your Friend In Christ,
Gerry Van Etten

What about the child with Marabeth? What is his relationship with her and the child? Does he support them? I think this was a big hole in his story.

reread paragraph 3 -(There was no child!) Although Jordon subsequently lost the baby, English's Christian music career plummeted.

Thank you Micheal for sharing what the Lord has done in your life. Jesus asked us to love one another, as I have loved you...." and by telling what the Lord has done in your life you demonstrate that love because it is evident that you want also that redemptive power to become a reality in other peoples lives; we all are in need but we not always are quick to admit it. God bless and continue to use your testimony of what He has done for you.
