Bob wrote "Ancient of Days" on my old 12-string guitar, a long time ago. It remains my favorite worship song. The lyrics are:

You are the song of my life,
You healed the wrongs of my life,
You changed the meaning of all that I see,
And great are the wonders of Thee.

You are the wind in my sails,
You start me again when I fail,
You chased the sorrow out if the rain,
And nothing You touched is the same.

[Chorus]
Hallelu to the Ancient of Days,
To the One who has purchased my fears;
Halleluia to the mender of way,
To the One who has restored the years.

You are song of my life,
The song I'll be singing forever,
You changed the meaning of all that I see,
And great are the wonders of Thee.

[Chorus]

[Turn around]
Come quickly Jesus, come take me away,
Come free my spirit from this burden of clay (Repeat)
Jesus come, all my life I've been waiting;
Lord, come, while the world is debating
What you've already planned...

Bob has been on staff with us in Nashua, NH with Grace Fellowship. He &his family moved up from Texas in 2000, so Phil from Londonderry, he's right in your neighborhood. You can come & see him lead worship at Grace, but check the website above to see where they are meeting any Sunday, because most times they meet at a school auditorium at 9:45 in order to have only one service, rather than 3 services at the church, but sometimes they do meet at the church.
We love the Ayala's &though he doesn't travel around the country to perform, he's home with his family, which is a blessing.

I have been listening to "Joy by Surprise" by Bob for more than 30 years. Have worn out my tape. Love his music.

Could someone out there post the guitar chords to Bob Ayala's song, "To the Ancient of Days"? I would love to sing the song in my home fellowship. Thanks. * Heb 6:10

I did a search for Nacho, NH to no avail. Grace Fellowship is in Nashua, NH. Bob must've used some speach recognition software to dictate that update.

I've been singing "To the Ancient of Days" off and on for years. I found this website searching for the lyrics to be sure I'm singing them right (you know how things change over the years!) I'm pretty sure I have them right, though. There is a 600 word limit here so I can't type the whole thing, but iIt starts "You are the song of my life..."
The chorus is "Hallelujah to the Ancient of Days
To the One who has purchased my fear
Hallelujah to the mender of ways
To the One who has restored the years"
