Bob used to appear quite regularly at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, CA where I attended back in the 70's I loved his music. He was one of my favorites. I figured out the guitar chords and tab for "To the Ancient of Days" once, but it has been so long since I heard the song that I'm not sure I could get it right. If anyone else has I'd love to get a copy.

The song is "To the Ancient of Days" and it was on Bob Ayala's first album "Joy by Surprise". Discography here:

I have been searching for some updated info on Bob as well. About 6-7 years ago he came and performed at our church in Illinois. He had just finished an album called "Who was this Man". I purchased it from him that day and it is awesome. He takes the story of Jesus from birth, life, death and resurrection in song. Each phase of his life an individual song. If I find anything out about him I'll post it. Thanks Giovanni.

Yes, I want to know what happened to him too! Are you familiar with one of his songs that may be called Ancient Of Days, but is different than the current popular Ancient Of Days. The Lyrics go: Hallelujah! To The Ancient Of Days, To The One Who has purchased my fears, restored my years, etc. If anyone can even tell me the name of the song I may have a better chance of finding it. Thanks! Grace

I heard Bob perform in approx. 1976, give or take a year. He was awesome. Whatever happened to him?
