Just need a copy of the lyrics for Bible Break

Posted by Sheila C-B in NJ @ 00:55 on Apr 5 2017

Any one have a copy of the Stephen Wiley Bible Break cassette? I desire a copy of both sides to use for my Sunday School class. I'd even be grateful to get a CD copy of both sides of the original cassette. I loved this song when I was in school & learned the books of the Bible with it.

Wow! I had the karaoke tape twenty years ago and that's how I still sing the books of the Bible to find stuff. Last time I saw my tape was in 1991. Boo hoo. I've been looking for a copy ever since. All I have is some random video of a guy singing it for his youth group back in the late 80's. He did a bad job. But anyway, I can still remember a lot of it, but not all of it. I can't wait to find it again!

My daughter learned the books of the Bible from this song. She tells me even today as she searches scriptures, she rehearses it in her mind to find the book location. Not only that but, the biblical references used in the rap have been opened up to her as an adult, so she was reminded, wow, that was a part of Bible Break.
Now she's a mother and would love to have it on cd for her son. Please help me find it, I'd be most appreciative.

Brother Wiley, thank you, for the impact it made in my family. How about bringing it back, a remix?

I have the song on tape and the lyrics, so I will see if I can get it transferred to CD. I learned my Bible books from this CD too, and I'm about to teach myd daugher using it.

Correction of the Brentwood Records address. It is now: 741 Cool Springs Blvd., Frnaklin, TN 37067

I guess after all these years they must have moved. (LOL)

If they can't help you, try going to one of your local Christian Book Stores and have them research the music. Perhaps they can locate it for you. Good luck!

I have a copy of the cassette and it is in "mint" condition. It is actually called "Christian RAP Music: Bible Break". Lyrics by Stephen Wiley, Music by Mike Barnes and Instruments used were Yamaha QX-1 Digital Sequencer, Yamaha DX-7 didgital synthesizer, Yamaha TX-816 FM tone Generator, and a Oberheim DX Digital Drum Machine. it was recorded at Longbranch Studio, Tulsa, OK. It was copyrighted in 1985 by Brentwood Records, Inc., P. O. Box 1028, Brentwood, TN 37027. I hope this helps!!!..."Grandma"
