"I can see you're sick, sir," I said to him, "but God has sent me over to you to lay hands on you because He's going to heal you."
"Yes, but I don't believe in that sort of thing," he said to me.
"Oh," I said, "I'm sorry. Perhaps I've made a mistake, sorry to have troubled you...." And with that I walked away from him. I asked God if I had made a mistake and He told me that I hadn't and that I had to go and pray for the man. So off I went again.
"Sir, you'll have to excuse me, but you're in a bad state both physically and spiritually. In fact, naturally speaking, you've just about had it. But Jesus has told me to come back and lay hands on you. He wants to heal you."
The man looked quite startled. "Oh well," he said, "go ahead, I suppose." So I laid my hands on him and prayed. Within seconds he bounded up, saying he was healed.
"What you felt was the Holy Spirit. Now God wants you to give your heart to Him. Give yourself to Him completely and He'll give you a new heart," I said, and the man willingly complied.
How great is our God! 
Peter was a young runaway who fell foul of the law and hit rock bottom when he joined the ranks of the down-and-outs on London's Thames Embankment.

Very interesting reading. I met Peter in South Africa in the late 1990's (not anything to do with the cult he mentioned), and it's funny how above it says people wouldn't see Peter, but would see Jesus. I have never met someone who could show Jesus' love like he did. As a know-it-all 20 year old, Peter would talk to me as an equal, with no judgement, and just total acceptance, even when parents and Church elders seemed to treat me like the rebellious kid I was. I felt he could connect with anyone, and it always felt like he had the inside word, as if God would speak to him about me while he spoke to me.
