How exciting has politics been of late?! Who would have predicted three woman would be running the country, Theresa May, Nicola Sturgeon and of course our beloved Queen Elizabeth?! In Germany there is Angela Merkel, one of Europe's most powerful chancellors and now a woman running the national front in France. I wonder what the Suffragettes would have made of it all.

Such unprecedented politics. President Donald Trump of America, that's nothing short of a miracle. The news reports are blatantly biased. There is such incredible mockery. I think even if you disagree politically you should refrain from being embarrassingly disrespectful to the office he holds.

Such interesting days. We are all on the edge of our seats to see what is going to happen next.

There is good news and the one constant we can totally depend on though and that is Jesus Christ. He's the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus never changes. He sits in heaven and laughs at the schemes of men. What a great comfort to know He is in control and not shocked or surprised by world events.

In Isaiah 60 it speaks of a great darkness covering the land. I am long enough in the tooth to see the acceleration of that in my life time, but also to see God's kingdom arising and shining. Millions of people are turning to Jesus and professing His Lordship. Nations are coming to the light of His glorious word. Not in a dead religious way, but surrounded by the presence of the Lord and the living word of God.

God is on the move for the earth is His. He loves the world. That's why He gave us His dear Son, so if we believe in Him we can have eternal life now. God is our Father; He never left us as orphans. He gave us the Holy Spirit as our helper and He teaches us how to be led by the Spirit. He lives in us if we have received Him, enabling us to live as sons and daughters.

I love my son and daughters with a passion as any parent would and now that I am a Nana I love the next generation just as much. I do all I can for them; it's an expression of my love. If they have a need and it's good for them and I can meet it, then it's done. Love is expressive.

Jesus' death and resurrection is an expression of God's love for us. It doesn't stop there though, He wants to love you like a Father, being involved in every area of your life. My family don't just know about me. We live life together and our Father wants to live life with you. It's so simple, just believe and receive. My family know I will be good to them. How much more will your Heavenly Father be good to you?

As you thank God, it opens the door to His presence and power. When you read His word it opens your heart to the revelation of the power of His kingdom. You start to live for Jesus, expressing your love for Him by obeying Him. We live in the shelter of the most High, fixed and stable. The chaos of this world has no sway over us.

I thank God for true media reporting and some excellent Christian news programmes, but the secular news is usually bad news. It rarely reports the great things that are happening on the earth and is usually fear based.

The church is growing exponentially, with ever increasing influence. The dead are being raised to life, astounding miracles and healing's are increasing all over the world. There is good news. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.

There is a line in a song that I love, 'through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you.' May God encourage and strengthen you in this hour and may you enjoy our Lord's expressed love and enjoy expressing your love to Him. Shine bright. CR
