Ephesians 2 v 1 - 10

A couple of years ago I went on a holiday to Kos in Greece, with my then boyfriend now husband. It was a lovely island and we thought it only right to go on a guided tour. We discovered a lot of interesting facts. We stopped of at a water fountain in the middle of one of the villages. Our guide explained that the water came from deep underground, and that it was very nice clean water that would "regenerate" us if we drank it. At the time it was quite funny, as the English people in the group knew this wasn't what she meant. Even so we all drank the strange tasting water and definitely felt "regenerated". We must have been mad! The first thing you're told about going abroad on holiday is "not to drink the water", but we trusted the guide, she knew what she was doing would be good for us.

The same goes for God. He offers each of us our own individual regeneration, a new start, a new life in him. This start comes to us by faith, and this faith is a gift from God. (Eph 2 v 7).

Our regeneration into a new life isn't just a change or a second chance, but a brand new beginning. So by trusting in God and his mighty power we can be saved.

Always remember we are not saved by the good things that we do, but we are saved to do good things. (Eph 2 v 10).

Why not take time to reaffirm your faith in God and His mighty power, and experience regeneration in you life and relationship with the Lord.
