Of late my mind has been flooded with words graced with these two little letters: 'Re'. Words such as redeem, restore, renew, repair, and rebirth to name just a few. The possibilities held in this small prefix are endless and always hopeful. So many times in my life I have wished for a do-over, to go back and try again, to snatch back words or actions spoken and done in haste. Oh that I had a time machine, that I could go back and fix mistakes made, but alas I don't. What I do have is the God of re's in my life. The God who is all about these hope-filled words, who holds the power to make them real and tangible, with even the promise to redeem my mistakes and turn them to good. Our small part in all this is held in a few other re words: repentance and rebirth. It is at the moment of our repenting, desiring to turn from wrong and follow right, to be reborn in Him, that opens the door for God to flood our lives and reestablish us to the place we belong. It is in that second that you decide to accept His son and His forgiveness that the redeeming of your life begins. God is able to restore your moments, repair your heart, renew your mind, and replenish the lack. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Whatever has happened in your life, whatever mistakes and horrors have befallen you, God is big enough to repair, restore and even revive if necessary. I have seen this in my own life and know it's true: God is surely big enough to bring restoration to all who call on him.

Psalm 103:4
He REDEEMS me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.

Romans 5:10
For since our friendship with God was RESTORED by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.

Colossians 3:10
Put on your new nature, and be RENEWED as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

John 1:12-13
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are REBORN - not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. CR
