Phil And John become The Wood Thieves with new single.

BRITISH Christian music's popular duo Phil And John, under their mainstream market name of The Wood Thieves, have teamed up with award winning Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band to release a single version of "The Day The North Left Town". The single is in response to the government announcement of an expected 30,000 coal miners to be made redundant.

The Grimethorpe Colliery was amongst several pits whose closure was announced just days before the brass band were crowned national brass band specialists.
