Ricky Skaggs introduces wide variety of sounds on new album

14-TIME Grammy winning country star Ricky Skaggs will have a new album 'Mosaic' released in the US through Skaggs Family Records on 24th August. Skaggs worked closely with Gordon Kennedy, known for his work with Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks and Bonnie Raitt, to create an album that "mixes elements of country music with Beatle-esque melodies and lyrics that speak of Skaggs' faith." Amongst the guests on the project is guitar virtuoso Peter Frampton with 'Mosaic' creating "a mélange of sounds by incorporating an eclectic array of instruments including the mandolin, banjo, acoustic guitar, violin, percussion, hammered dulcimer, string section, bagpipe, bouzouki, electric guitar, keyboard, slide guitar and more." CR
