Public being exhorted to purchase and download Tim Hughes track

A 22 YEAR old student from Birmingham is using the social networking website Facebook in an effort to get worship leader Tim Hughes into the national charts. Through the group Let's Get Tim Hughes To Number 1, the public are being exhorted, between Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 19th December, to purchase and download from digital online music shops such as iTunes and Napster the track "Happy Day", a song from Tim Hughes' 'Holding Nothing Back' album. Smith reports that within the first three weeks of existence "4,000 people have signed up to the vision and the number is still growing." It is estimated that the song will need to be bought over 10,000 times to make the Christmas Top 40. CR
