Reggae gospel star Chevelle Franklyn returns after 10 years

Intense And Real

ONE OF reggae gospel's most successful artists, Chevelle Franklyn has returned to recording after a 10 year hiatus. Talking about her 'Set Time' album the Jamaica-based singer said, "I could not rush, I had to learn patience and trust the process." Guests on Chevelle's new album include American gospel stars Donnie McClurkin and Israel Houghton. The track "I Have A Father" with McClurkin is described as "an Afro-Caribbean party starter, to get you moving, a medley of popular African worship songs." Said Chevelle, "It's interesting how Africans worship. It's intense, it's real and very deep. Just thinking about how God has showed me so many things every time I take a trip to Africa and I am amazed - for them worship is essential and a lifestyle." CR
