Elaine Norwood enjoys a gospel hit with new ballad

A SINGER who for two decades has provided backups for the likes of Mariah Carey, James Ingram and the Isley Brothers, Elaine Norwood, has landed a hit on America's Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart. Her ballad "He's Still Working On Me" is currently number 19. The track is from Elaine's fourth album 'Released' on Highly Favored Music. The project also contains a remake of the Rev James Cleveland's 1976 hit "God Has Smiled On Me" where Elaine is joined by her father Rev Charles Norwood, and a gospelisation of Alicia Keyes' "Ain't Got You". 'Released' was produced by Leon Haywood and Sanchez Harley. CR
