Hang on a mo', didn't we have a 4Him Greatest Hits album a little while ago, something called 'Best Ones? And weren't most of these songs on that one? No matter, one of America's most popular harmony pop teams are celebrating their first decade since leaving Truth in 1990, and if truth be told (pun intended!) it's been an amazing journey - no less than 21 No 1 CCM radio singles, three GMA Group Of The Year awards and two million album sales worldwide. I have my own favourites from the seven albums the boys have released in those 10 years and most of them are here - "Where There Is Faith", "The Basics Of Life", "Measure Of A Man", "Can't Get Past The Evidence", "Before The River Came" are all on the UCB Europe playlist. Also here and on the UCB playlist is "The Only Thing I Need", from the 1998 various artists' album 'Streams', featuring ex-Yes and Jon & Vangelis singer Jon Anderson; what strikes me as odd is that, whilst the track sounds the same as on 'Streams', Mr Anderson isn't credited. But I digress. Messrs Marty Magehee, Kirk Sullivan, Andy Chrisman and Mark Harris are masters of their art, and if they carry on with music like this in the next decade I for one won't complain. If you didn't buy 'Best Ones', then go and buy this.
