Of course the real beauty of this music comes through when you know who is singing it. The lives of these African orphans translate their musical message into the language of your heart. However, this in no way undermines the excellence of their performance. The choir has grown technically and musically over the years to produce a very pleasing recording of praise and worship, traditional African, calypso and black gospel. The strength of this recording is the four African songs including work songs with intricate clapping rhythms, chants and a bit of a lullaby. ACC will delight listeners with their creative treatment of "There Shall Be Showers Of Blessing" sung to (he natural melody of a warm spring rain and the beat of bongos. Nice treatment of the solo voice as well. ACC has made great strides in keeping pace with the times. This is not "kids" music easily reproduced by local churches but an album to captivate those who've enjoyed ACC in concert. Definitely an album that will be enjoyed for a long time.
