Prom Praise, the annual All Souls classical and praise bash at London's Royal Albert Hall, is such a phenomenon it has a momentum all its own. You can't help but get caught up in the exuberance and vibrancy of the atmosphere. I know - on 13th February 1988 I sang in All Souls Choir for Prom Praise at the Royal Albert Hall - not the first such concert (though maybe the first recording.) It's an experience that stays with you if you performed. I expect it stays with you if you've ever been in the audience too. 'Christmas Praise' adds kids from London church schools (and all the young soloists could be names to watch), soprano Margaret Ferguson and organist Gerard Brooks to the massed and talented forces of the All Souls Orchestra and the gathered choir, Noel Tredinnick wielding the baton as ever. Lots of carols old and new, classical pops and a live recording which captures the atmosphere of the Royal Festival Hall in December 2004. It's a winning formula for fans (and I feel quite nostalgic)!
