The difficulty when assessing any worship album is that there is a thin line, a very thin line, between lyrics which are a recasting of biblical truth and lyrics which abound in cliché and give the listener a deep sense of déjà vu. Unfortunately, several of the songs here by the Scottish worship leader and songwriter fall into the latter category and in truth most of the lyrics seldom get much beyond the "I come just as I am/I love you Lord" type of thing. There is competent playing from a small band and Allan's husky voice is quietly affecting, particularly on the slower songs. But in a worship marketplace now awash with vast quantities of albums 'Show Me Your Ways' simply fails to register as anything out of the ordinary.

Allan, wouldn't it be great to be a critic. You don't have to play a note, just criticise and pick holes in everything everybody else does !!
Would Jesus do this....I think not. I think he would see the good in every situation and in everyone...even critics. Keep on fighting the good fight.
God bless
Michael

allan's music and abitity to lead and minister to people is second to none a very special gift.
alot of his lyrics come straight from the word eg. pure heart psalm 51,show me your ways psalm 25 just to name a few.
his voice is very soothing and great for quite times,
obviously mr cummings dosen't have the same taste in music as i, which is fine, the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things.
but i would certainly recommend this album to anyone
allan keep serving God whole heartedly and he will give you the desires of your heart.

This album to me has encouraged me through my Christian walk, the lyrics is biblical and straight from the heart. You dont get alot of songs from people straight from the heart!
Allan is a great worship leader and i would back him ALL the way, God is moving in him and his ministry!!!
Mr cumming, i feel you review is really bad and i can see you have NO idea about Christian music or infact cant see a Great worship leader if it hit you in the face...
anyway tony cummings who are you??
Without Judging, i am stating on your review is totally WRONG! 1 question to me is what would Jesus say about it...
Its certainly not that!!!
Allan Keep up the great song writing and worship leading, God is moving within you.

ALways seek God in every sitution!
Yours wholly in Christ
Kevin
