This is a real delight - or as they'd say in Spanish, 'es muy enchantador!' Alvaro - who hails from Nicaragua but now makes his home in California - is a Christian salsero (salsa singer), combining upbeat exhortions to worship and an uncomplicated gospel message with a beat that's spicier than a chorizo covered in picante sauce. If you like your worship with some oomph to it, songs like 'Alabemos y Gozemos' (Let's Praise And Enjoy) or 'Solo En Ti" (In You Alone) are just perfect. "Colflictios una Solucion" (Conflicts A Solution) points to christ as the solution to all life's conflicts., while the title track comes from Luke 1:37. This is the sound of sanctified Latin America, and it's caliente, caliente, calente! (hot, hot, hot!)
