In the USA seemingly every year Christian music artists get to knock out a book (usually with much help from a journo to put together the manuscript). In the UK with its comparatively tiny marketplace that phenomenon has only just begun. Considering Andy and the Tribe's huge contribution to British CCM it's fitting that they should lead the way with this book and if you're a die hard fan of WWMT you will want to investigate this. It's written in bright and breezy style, chronicling Andy's conversion to Christ through this brother Simon, the launch of Message To Schools and on to the Eden Project and Message 2000. Unfortunately, its brevity (134 pages) and no index give it a cheap and cheerful feel. Considering the Tribe's teenage following maybe it's pitched about right. But for someone looking for more insight into the Tribe's history or youth evangelism I think we'll have to wait for another book.
