Annie's a bit special. Her style's very 'other worldly' in the best sense, displaying the ability to float above the trivial and the earthly to soak up the atmosphere of eternity. There's a longing, an insight, a listening ear that catches the sound of a distant heavenly music, a heart tuned in to realities that most of us miss. It does also help that she possesses a wonderfully clear, expressive voice, polished to a sharp instrument via her years with the unique 2nd Chapter Of Acts. Matthew Ward, of the same group, duets on "Without Love"; the other duet, on the title track, features Perry Coleman, of whom I know nothing whatsoever. Annie's songwriting is well up to standard; from the gentle opener "Stay True", all of the aforementioned qualities are present and correct. The voice is as appealing as ever - in all a pretty faultless display of impeccable quality.
