There are a lot of interesting and original ideas on this cassette. Shame the production quality is so bad! It sounds very 'bedroomy', complete with hiss and distorted voices through a cheap microphone! If you don't mind a messy mix and keep listening, you will hear some reasonably competent MCing and rapping, lyrics obviously Christian in content and a variety of hip hop, house jungle and London underground type of grooves, mostly quite minimalist in content. Another problem with this tape is that it is just far too long! It plays for just over 90 minutes, which is a very tedious length of time for music of demo quality. A 15 minute EP would do the band more favours. As an aside, B.A.S.S. Freedom have produced a couple of very good drum and bass mix tapes (mixed by DJ Smile and DJ Shocka) which are worth hearing.
