The Northern Ireland-based band, formerly known as Beyond, weigh in with a single. I have to be honest - I didn't like this at first. I think it was the vocals, just slightly off-key (maybe they're supposed to be lazy?) that I objected to. It certainly wasn't the U2-esque guitar work or even the Snow Patrol-ish arrangement. By the end of the title track, though, I'd grown to love it. It's a very catchy song and the vocals become distinctive. Maybe they should have autotuned the odd note, but that wouldn't have been honest and give me an honest off-key note with emotion over a pitch-corrected click-tracked "feel it by numbers" track any day. The second track, "Spiral & Fall", completely passed me by and the third track was a radio edit of the title track (4:33 instead of 6:02).
