From Righteous Brothers to righteous brother, eh! The man who once contributed 50 per cent to classics like "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", which was the soundtrack to many a courtship curtailment back then seems to have rediscovered his Christian roots. Actually, Medley always had a gospel-soaked voice, bursting with stylish soul and gravelly R&B. Pleased to report the voice is in fine fettle, soon as Bill kicks into the smokey mood of "There's A Spirit" you know you've tapped into a drop of good stuff. Mainstream pop was the nearest description, but Bill blends in a lot of influences to produce a potent brew. The fine new songs sit alongside standards like "Precious Lord" and "You'll Never Walk Alone", blending superbly. Great voice, timeless music. Style's the word. You can win a game of golf with Bill too, if he plays like he sings you could be embarrassed.
