This debut album from the Tennessee-based singer/songwriter is an interesting fusion of country, Southern gospel, rock and blues. It retains its American feel but doesn't let any of its influences dominate too much. In that respect, it is likely to have a wide appeal. Songwise, it is a little inconsistent with some great tracks such as the rocky title track and the gospel inspired closer "I've Been Redeemed" showing what Bill is capable of. However, too many songs do tend to blend into one another and don't quite have enough to keep your attention. However, the album features some fine musicianship and arrangements which keep it from sounding bland and boring. It's a good start and with some more adventurous songwriting Bill could really establish himself as a top quality Christian artist.
