Broken State is a Christian electro/rock worship band from Reading featuring frontman Rob Eisner. They formed in 2010 to write songs with worship at their heart that also challenge preconceptions of what worship music sounds like. 'For Your Glory' is a four-track EP of pop-based electronic worship music. "For Your Glory" is built around a dancefloor groove while "I Love Your Name" in structured something like a Delirious? song as it steps up the power, intensity and heartfelt emotion. You can't help but feel that this anthem would make a huge impact live. "Mighty" is pure electro-dance music which beguiles and intoxicates with zealous praise about our God. Beginning with a simple keyboard line "Pour Your Anointing" is an intimate personal statement of a song with exquisite lyrics. Just one thing disappoints and that is the last track. Apart from that, this is excellent stuff.
