A famous surname and spookily enough Caleb is actually Finley's half brother though the pair only met for the first time recently. A mixture of pop and easy listening suitable for an accessible worship album, writer, singer and guitarist Caleb Quaye demonstrates his talents in all three whilst creating a worship album that manages to escape blandness through some excellent musical moments. Sure, some of this is ordinary; but then it's obvious that the family's genes kick in as Caleb has a soulful voice which is well used! These worship songs are every bit as good as anything being released on the mainstream worship labels so this album deserves to be more widely appreciated. For me the highlights are "I Am The Resurrection" which features some excellent Latin style flute from Pedro Eustache and some brilliant fluid guitar playing from Caleb himself. Just fab! In fact throughout, Caleb's guitar adds a significant edge to the music which is illustrated through the instrumental title track. Elsewhere the bluesy shuffle of "Rejoice" and the acoustic worship of "Purify Me" contain spiritual truths, well expressed. An accomplished independent release and there's no doubt we'll be hearing more from Caleb.
