What impresses me most when I listen to Christian thrash and hardcore bands is their determination to present a firm Christian witness to a mainstream audience and to produce music that is technically and musically as excellent if not more excellent than their secular counterparts. The question is where are these exciting elements on this tape? Captain Staetnodrog (spell it backwards for his real name!) and his cohort, a Mr Punq C Hedgez, by their own admission, decided it would be a good idea to go into the studio and just improvise six tracks straight onto tape, with absolutely no premeditation, and oh boy, does it show! What they have produced is nothing more than a cacophony of chugging and squealing guitars, weirdly repetitive percussion and vocals that are spoken in a kind of spaced-out drawl. The whole thing is overloaded with samples, excessive delay and multi-layered effects. "All thanx and glory B2 God" states the flyleaf. "For what?" I ask. If you want some decent hardcore I suggest you check out Brainchild or Living Sacrifice and give this a wide berth.
