Those of you who know your music history will know that Charles, from his Hampshire home, has released a string of quality instrumental albums while John Daniels was once a big time British CCM artist in the '80s (best selling albums with Dave Pope) before relocating to Canada. We'll leave the story of how this unlikely musical collaboration came to pass for a Cross Rhythms article but let's say this is a quality album which far outshines many of those instrumental elevator music albums clogging Christian retailers' CD racks. A deft mix of five well known worship songs (including two of my all time favourites, Karen Lafferty's "Seek Ye First" and Sebastian Temple's "Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace") interspersed with six Timberlake and two Daniels originals. The piano and synths are beautifully played, truly creating a meditative mood. If you're looking for music to still the raging heart, this does the job beautifully.
