This describes itself as an international explosion of praise and unity - what a wonderful idea! It is a children's musical with Charlie Cherub (an angel who helps kids) as the central character, taking children on a balloon adventure around the world, showing today's children that as Christians we are all one in Jesus no matter what colour we are or what language we speak. The songs are fresh and original and each one's style reflects the country visited. The narrative is well thought out and put together, although I have to admit to cringing once or twice at the accents, particularly the Australian ones, but don't let that put you off! I especially liked the song "Yodel-Lay-Hee-Hoo" - corny title I know but the children will love it I'm sure. "With A Thankful Heart" is a simple worship song which children will enjoy singing, with a delightful melody and direct lyrics. Choir songbooks (product no BK09096) and accompaniment tracks (product no CSA09096) are also available, so anyone looking for a new children's production to perform, perhaps may like to give this a shot.
