This three CD 40-song package from Kingsway represents a substantial part of our Christian inheritance over the last 20 years. The collection offers many of the songs that have become classics in the Church over that time. "Reign In Me", "Holy Spirit We Welcome You", "Lamb Of God" and "Wholly Available" are all here - again. Bowater is an excellent pianist and prolific writer and his songs have touched millions of people the world over. There are a few songs that are not written by the Lincoln songsmith and it just goes to show how God can use one man to influence his church in worship. Personally I do not like the genre of the music, its MOR style angles toward American church choirs or studio choirs and at that point my brain switches off. However, the overriding merit of this album is the sheer power of the songs; the lyrics are so intimate that they bring you into the presence of the Father, through the Son and in the power of the Holy Spirit. One small point is that on Gracenote, the online CD database; CD two's track listing is incorrect! If you've worn out your original Bowater albums, you may want this reissue.
