We've been slow to review this 2008 release which is a shame as Chris, part of the worship creative arts staff at 121 Community Church in Grapevine, Texas, turns in an excellent album of contemporary worship. As he produced it too, Chris is clearly a talent. For a Texas-based worship man the vibe and direction is distinctly British, Redman/Hughes/Bluetree-style. The UK influences are reinforced by covers of "You Never Let Go", "Happy Day" and "God Of This City" but even there the arrangements are fresh and effective. Elsewhere Clayton's songs like "King Forever" and "All Of You" are every bit as good as the material on the latest Survivor release. A well above average contemporary worship release.
