This 'best-of' offering covers many of Tomlin's standout songs such as "Our God", "Forever" and "Famous One". The album's musicianship is augmented by highly competent percussion from Travis Nunn on "Indescribable", linking seamlessly with Jesse Reeves' bass guitar. "Amazing Grace" features Tomlin's powerful additional chorus "And like a flood his mercy reigns, unending love amazing grace". "We Fall Down" is another exemplary number, featuring fine guitar-work from Daniel Carson beautifully complemented by Matt Gilder's keys. Good though the messages usually are, theology is not always a modern worship leader's strongest point. For example, "Jesus Messiah" repeats the unfortunate notion that Jesus became sin, missing Paul's double use and double meaning of "hamartia" (sin and sin-offering) as recently explained in the writings of Professor N T Wright. The CD also features a live track, "God Of This City", recorded at America's Passion Conference (Tomlin is currently worship leader at Passion City Church in Georgia, USA). Chris Tomlin needs no introduction to the English speaking world of worship material; this album introduces "How Great is Our God" to nine other languages within the international community of believers.
