This is the debut EP from a British aggregation formed earlier this year to record songs of London-based singer/songwriter Claire Robinson. The opening guitars on "It Was Me" set the edgy, slightly indie tone that underlines the sound of this EP. "I Hope You Know" offers a more upbeat, poppy approach, but Claire's refreshingly raw vocals still retain their punch. Undoubtedly, "The One" is the most memorable track on the disc, its understated acoustic sound suiting Claire's expressive voice while the string arrangement on the last track, "Butterflies", lift what might otherwise have been an average song to one that is unforgettably stirring. This is not a corporate worship EP by any means with most of the lyrics dealing with relationships and the struggles of life.
