Here is the debut album from ex-Redeemed group members, Clif and Marie. They obviously have a talented bunch of friends from the UK gospel music scene to help them out. This is a good start: their vocals are crystal clear, carrying feeling and emotion, sung with commitment and conviction. There's some good electric guitar work throughout, and the songwriting and musical arranging skills are obvious. And quite adventurous at times, which is refreshing. The opening sounds are sweet and lush with strings and a delicate piano. Some might call it dated, but it could be regarded as classic. "I Will Sing" is a simple, steady rock song of praise, "If Only" is an epic ballad about trust, while "Clap Your Hands" rounds off the set with a groovy gospel feel. It's good enough to have got away with being a fair bit longer! Of course, it is an album on a budget, but they have really made the most of it to good effect. Stylistically it's not on the cusp, but the album has character, and soul.
