Despite having a most unfortunate stage name (somebody should have told the dear sister that Dana Divine sounds like a stripper) this Chicago-based singer is an exciting new talent. There are several cuts here which will undoubtedly get exposure in the urban gospel underground with "Use Me Lord" and "Bounce" being a fine fusion of funky programming, sinuous vocals, tight and silky harmonies and hooks which don't say a huge amount beyond "Jesus is good" but still seem to work in the context. If your tastes veer towards the funky end of gospel this is definitely a release to investigate.
