Yet another indie, home-recorded worship project? Groan? No, this is really a pretty decent effort. I know little about Brit Daniel - the website says little, and the CD insert not much either - but this CD shows what can be achieved by simple recording onto an Apple Mac. Daniel and his three friends haven't created a complex production, but this acoustic pop is clear and appealing. The lyrics break little new ground and sometimes opt for the personal and private where I'm not sure the biblical texts they're based on justify that (eg, the title track). But the melodies are strongly reminiscent of the UK Vineyard stable and so I'm not surprised that Premier Radio have playlisted some. This is a promising debut.

I recently met Stephen Pailthorpe after he had been playing a track from this album at a leaders conference i was at in Denmark.

I have never heard of Daniel Usher but had met Stephen a few times on the Christian circuit here in Denmark. Stephen recommended this album to me which he had been involved in the production with. All I can say is...wow. As I listened to this album, I have been seriously overwhelmed by the gentle annointing on these tracks. 'I stand amazed' and 'Give me a heart' are superb tracks.

When Stephen leads worship, it is always fantastic with intense tight harmonies and massive dynamic contrasts...this album from Daniel Usher is exactly that...awesome! and everything that I want in a true personal worship album. I look forward to hopefully coming to England and hearing Daniel Usher with Stephen Pailthorpe in person!

I recently had the privilege of meeting Daniel Usher and Stephen Pailthorpe at a Christian Vision for Men conference where they were leading worship - I picked up a copy of this CD that weekend and enjoyed my journey home all the more as a result of playing it.

I'm no musician but I know what I like...and this is great - but there's more...as I've listened over and again I find I'm drawn into different aspects of the songs...my personal favourite at the moment is "Give me a heart like your heart...give me a love like your love, that works through me in every situation, let every moment I live, declare the glory of the King"

This album really works for me on the personal level...finding me at an important time for my relationship with God...thanks Daniel...looking forward to more!
